The CAA annual Golf Outing was once again held at the Golf Club of Dublin on Tuesday, September 12, Golf Club of Dublin for the second consecutive year. The sold-out outing provided a day out of the office for over 140 golfers and sponsors as they gathered for a day of scramble golf, games, food, and a little bit of competition. The luau theme couldn’t be spoiled by damp clouds and members hula’d through the round. Golfers were led to assigned tees for a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and continued through the 18 holes around the course visiting with CAA Member sponsors at each hole and at the turn. Some played games, enjoyed a snack or a drink all while learning about products, services or companies before moving on their way. Sponsors made each hole unique by embracing the theme creating a light, cheerful atmosphere throughout the day. The CAA would like to give special thanks to Chadwell Supply for serving as this year’s tournament sponsor. Golfers started their day with a breakfast sandwich provided by Zillow Rentals and a Bloody Mary sponsored by Birge & Held. Unified Residential Management sponsored the lunch grill at the turn for each golfer and sponsor while Servpro served up margaritas from the Turn Tiki Bar and FABCO sponsored the scorecards, Multifamily Utility Company sponsored each cart, 614 Contractors entertained on the Putting Green with a putting contest, BluSky Restoration and Sherwin Williams sponsored the Awards Reception, and Royal Finish, Inc, Birge & Held and Servpro sponsored the Prizes. After a little over five hours of play golfers and sponsors enjoyed drinks and food in the ballroom anxiously awaiting the awards and sharing exploits from the day. CAA Executive Director, Laura Swanson opened the ceremony by thanking everyone for attending and had the privilege of announcing the winner of the 50/50 benefitting the CAA Community Assistance Foundation. After the draw, Will Dekaukus, Shelby Management took home the $385 50/50 prize and an equal amount was donated to the CAA Community Assistance Foundation. Swanson then had the pleasure of announcing the winners. There was only one skin with The Waterworks team Taking home the $360 pot. Also awarded were the proximity awards with respective winners: Longest Drive Winners: Kyle Dieringer, Contractors Inc and Sarah Chang, CertaPro Painters; Longest Putt Winner: Amanda McCullaugh, CORT and Closest to the Pin: Tom Kaczkowski, The Waterworks and Amanda McCullaugh, CORT. Next, this year’s CAA Challenge Cup champions were announced. The top two teams were awarded gift certificates and trophies with the winning team not only winning gift cards but also having the privilege of having their name etched into the CAA Cup which will be on display throughout the year at the CAA Office to celebrate winners. Winning third place with 15 under par is the team of Paul Darche, Michael Hess, Sarah Chang, and Ty Lucas (CertaPro Painters). Winning second with a 16 under par was the team of Zack Schoonover, Mike Ross, Demika Medalion, and Jai Sealey (PPG Architectural Coatings). Winning the CAA Challenge Cup Golf Outing with a 17 under par was the team of Scott Lloyd, Markus Zarins, Tom Kaczkowski, and Christian Heine (The Waterworks).
